You can help us to create positive alternatives by making a donation. This will enable us to enhance our bursary fund which was created to support the participation of community leaders from developing countries and UK inner cities who wish to attend our Ecovillage Education programmes.

The annual Ecovillage Training is a capacity building programme, designed to make optimum use of the information available from the Findhorn Ecovillage, and to provide a practical forum for learning and developing action plans. It has been designed for those individuals who are involved in building or sustaining human settlements. These have included students and professionals from architectural, engineering and building careers; permaculture and horticultural researchers; alternative technologists; business people interested in ethical development; local and central government officers; and members of NGOs and CBOs. The training promotes the transference of tools and techniques for creating sustainable community in the fields of ecological building, biological waste water treatment, renewable energies, cooperative social economies, organic food production, conflict facilitation, global communication, biodiversity and conservation.

Over the years we have been receiving an impressive response from community leaders from UK inner cities and also underdeveloped countries who believe that they can optimise their local work by attending our programmes. However, the costs of the programme and travel are beyond the range of their financial capability.

The Findhorn Foundation is an educational charitable trust and welcomes nearly 4,000 residential visitors each year from developed and developing countries, who take part in a variety of one week to one year educational courses, trainings and international conferences. The Findhorn Foundation is a founder member of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN), which unites 15,000 ecovillages worldwide, and is a NGO associated with the United Nations Department of Public Information, working with intergovernmental agencies in educating and developing policy guidance for sustainable development and for delivery of village-scale sustainability programmes.

We are very grateful for all contributions, regardless of size, to help more community leaders to join us. If you are able to help in this way, please print and complete this form and return it to by mail or fax to:
